What We Collect

IRL collects the minimum data needed to help you make plans and meet friends in real life:

• Account info: Name, phone number, birthday, city, profile photo
• Contacts: Hashed phone numbers and emails to find friends (we never store raw contacts)
• Plans: Plans you create, RSVPs, and attendance
• Messages: Messages sent within plan chats and direct messages
• Location: Temporary location shared only during "On My Way" arrival tracking, only with plan participants
• Photos: Photos captured during plans, shared with plan participants

How We Use It

Your data is used to:

• Show you plans and help you coordinate with friends
• Send notifications about plans, friend requests, and arrival updates
• Display streaks, milestones, and weekly activity summaries
• Improve the app experience

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data
• We don't show ads
• We don't track your location outside of active "On My Way" sessions
• We don't share your data with third parties for marketing

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Authentication). All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This can't be undone.

Deleted: your profile, photos, videos and voice notes, friends, and your login.

Kept for the people who were there: messages you sent and plans you were part of. They'll show as from "Deleted user".

• Firebase: Authentication, database, storage, analytics, push notifications
• Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports
• Sign in with Apple / phone number: Authentication
• Google Calendar: Only if you choose to connect it
